![]() Chinese people love to eat dim sum and gather as family to dine this way every weekend(served only during lunchtime), hence it's like a Chinese brunch but no Mimosas or Bloody Mary's. No, no one is going to invade your personal space:-)haha it is a Chinese form of brunch where typically heated cart/wagons are wheeled around loaded with small plates/metal steamed containers of assorted appetizer sized food. It is translated to "touch of the heart". What is dim sum, you might ask? For those who are in the dark ages regarding dim sum. Somehow Long Island businesses has been slow to build up dim sum restaurants. Parking can be rough there as well and who wants to fight the traffic on the Belt Parkway? What's amazing in NY is that sooner or later your culinary desires seems to show up near you. even got to Brooklyn's Chinatown area and find great dim sum & culinary delights there. Yes of course you can venture out to Manhattan's Chinatown and spend on parking more than your average meal. There are not many restaurants that serve authentic Chinese dim sum food like in the areas of Queens (Flushing, Elmhurst, & Little Neck).
